Set in the magnificent 17th-century building, the former convent-college of the Dominicans of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the modern decoration of the Restaurant Santo Tomás is already an adventure when sitting at the table predisposes you to enjoy its gastronomy. A traditional cuisine whose menu includes specialities such as migas alcalaínas (fried breadcrumbs dish), croquetas de cocido (stew croquettes) or costrada de Alcalá (pastry dessert).

The Parador

Tradition and modernity in the birthplace of Spanish literature

The Paradores company has been present in Alcalá de Henares since 1930, when it opened the Students Hostel, the third establishment in the Paradores Network. The current Parador, which occupies three of the colleges commissioned by Cardinal Cisneros (…).

 

The Hostel, opened in 1930, is located in the Manzana Cisneriana, occupies the historical Colegio Menor de San Jerónimo o Trilingüe, granted to the Spanish National Tourist Board by the Sociedad de Condueños de Alcalá for restoration and safekeeping.
